HowDoYouCallThat? is on a distinguished road

Default My Biggest Live Pot

So about 6 yrs ago I was playing at a casino. Playing 2-5 blinds $100-$200 buyin NLHE. I had been playing all night the pokerroom died out aswell as our game. There was one 2-4 limit game and our game which was down to 3 handed, and one guy was my buddie. I had turned my $200 into $1000 buy this time. The other opponent had $1200 and was a solid young kid that had earned his money playing good throught the night.

So the dealer deals and I look down and see QQ. Good hand for 3 handed so I raised to $15 my buddie folds, other guy calls. Flop comes QhQd3H. I am thinking holy shatner, how do I play this lol. So I bet out he had position on me I bet out $20 he raises $20 I reraise $20 he calls. Turn comes out 4d so I bet $100 he reraises $100 I just smooth call hopeing he has a monster. The river was a 6h. So I go all in cause at this point I think he has a monster to call me off. He sits there and thinks about it forever. Well he called and turned over pocket 6's. so he boated on the river. I was so stoked I got up and yelled. Some old laidie yelled at me "be quiet" I was like I just won a huge pot , stick to your $10 pots.

The poor kid was devistated, his whole night work was taken away in one hand. then 3 months later I am playing the kid again 6-12 limit and snap him off with JJJJ lol. He was like do you just flop quads on me?

Thanks

That's a great feeling to know that you just have someone the whole time. And when you can play it right (and it's obvious that you did because you TOOK him), it's even that much sweeter. Congrats! I had a similar hand but it was my three Kings against a two pair off the flop, I loved playing it and I loved the outcome even more. The pot was somewhere around $150 which is still the biggest single pot that I have won.
