Hey guys, I'm new here. Just wanted to get to know everybody. So where is everyone from? I'm in PA. I plan to hang out in here alot to get some poker tips for newbies. Anyone has any good ideas of the best place to learn let me know.

What part of PA are you from? Me personally I am from Nv and I am very lucky because poker comes very naturally to me. Anyways Erin, if you have any questions let me know, I normally check these forums once or twice daily =D

Ya it would be nice if we could get more people on here. It is hard to really get into a discussion with two or three people willing to post.

I'm from right outside philly. Been to Atlantic city a few times, but mostly i want to learn poker to play witha group of friends of mine. The funny part is I'm reluctant to let them teach me. They are kinda goofy and i'm afraid they might take advantage. I'd rather learn by myself by reading up and playing online first.

I think that is the best way to go. Unless you trust them, do not let them them teach you.
