Sure you can have a strategy playing online. It is just more betting-based and less tell-based. It is very difficult to get tells when playing online obviously, but you can still have a betting/bluffing strategy.

I think that is what is so great about online poker; it forces you to focus on the cards and the betting instead of the people. People might lie, but the cards never do.

I think women can use there gender to there advantage, ive seen it before, but I always respect women on the felt. Cause 8 times out of 10 there holding the stone cold nuts. For the most part women are pretty tight an conservitve and play good starting hands. Unless you are at the 2-4 limit table and old granny is calling you down with bottom pair and spikes two pair on the river to snap you off.

But as far as tourney stragity goes. Depend on if its a rebuy in that case some people just like to gamble early and try to build a stack. Some are conservative early, then open up starting hands later on.

But it think if you are gonna play on the higher level of tourneys, you need alot more in your arrsenol, then tight early, loose late.

You need to read your players of course, see how they react to some elses continuation bets. See how they reacte when there is a raise and they are in the blinds, do they defend or they throw away. That gonna help you in the long run when you need to steal blinds. Plus you got the sqeeze plays, resteals and other methods that you need to get through a tourney, plus a little luck lol.

I suppose I do not have a real preset strategy. My game play changes to suit the situations around me. Usually, I am rather conserative early on so I can try to pick up tells. But if I seem to get a good chance to make some chips or double up early on I will take it if the odds are well in my favor. Poker is after all, a game of chance.

I like to play tight, and watch for someone who is playing aggressively. I wait for the big blind to come around, and if it's something I can play hard, I slow play it for all it's worth, nailing them on the river for half their stack.

That's in my head of course, when I actually sit down at the table I want to bet on every hand.

I will play conservative at the beginning, but then try and play with the table rather than try to be the center of attention. I will try to blend in while taking down pots every once in a while and make out everyone else to be the bad guys in an attempt to get into the money by being "neutral." This strategy generally works pretty well because if you stay under the radar, no one will target you and no one will pay attention to you or your chip stack as much so you can finesse your way to the money!

I am a girl and I totally use that to my advantage. Guys think i'm really conservative and lay down MONSTER hands to me...its crazy! They also say stuff like "oh i'll be nice to you and just call" Well, I just got my straight or flush buddy! Thanks! hahaha
