Yea, I totally agree with pocket rocket. It would be a waste to go all the way to a casino and then play virtual poker, when I could just stay home and play from my computer. Still, i would like to see one and see what it is like.

Default This new electronic machine

They are always coming up with new gadgets.
Does it mean that actual people play each other but all in a circle and are all connected by a machine? That sounds kinda futuristic.

Yeah they had em for a while at hollywood park casino in cali. Seen it, wasnt very interested, I play online. So going to a casino to play on a computer didnt sound very interesting. But they wernt popular so they took em out. I think they have a omaha o8 electronic game.

Thanks

I think the touch machines sound cool. It would be fun to use at home with people I knew well, just for the novelty and speed of it.

However I think there is something to be said for having a dealer. The main reason I like having a dealer is that there is someone around to show newbies the ropes, and to answer questions or just chat to for color.

I also think, if a casino is going to rake the pot, a live person should get paid for that. Watching the video it occurs to me, how are you supposed to do chip tricks?

I wonder if it gives you odds... I know some of the online ones do that.

I get the feeling here that they have fixed something that wasn't broken.

Never played in one, but sound like it would be easy to set up, like have an employee decoy a hand and win most of the time. I dont like electronics when I am gambling.

I have played these games with the electronic games and it definitely makes you question whether or not you are getting the pure odds of real cards being dealt. I am personally a fan of the real thing, even though you may get less hands per hour, because you can see the cards and they are physical odds instead of binary code showing you the odds. I do agree with the upsides though, it certainly is a new way to play that speeds up the game.

Yes I too like the touch screen poker, while real cards are fun it does make it easier to just sit back and play.

I used to live in the area so next time I go "home" I might have to check it out, you've given it such a great rating!

I've never played at an electronic table like that before. I don't think I'd like it. It would seem too much like playing on a computer, and I think I would miss the interaction of a live dealer. It also seems to me that it would make it less of a social game over all because people would be hunched over their monitors like they were playing online. That could make it less fun, but also make it more difficult to read people, which is one of the great things about live game. No, I don't think I'd like it.
