Default Four Winds Casino, New Buffalo, Michigan

Just made my first trip (yesterday) to the new Four Winds Casino on the Michigan-Indiana state line. Not sure if anybody is from that area, but I give the place a 9 out of 10. Very nice setup.

Their poker room is also all electronic. No cards, no chips. You get a touchscreen with your cards and amount of chips. The middle of the table has an electronic display of the community cards.

At first I was skeptical about this, but as soon as I got used to it, I loved it. Takes a lot of hassle out of the game, and can get so many more hands per hour. Anybody else play in an electronic room like this yet?

Wow, no idefinately have never played in an electronic room. That sounds like it would be strange. And it sounds as if would almost be like playing on line. I don't exactly know how I would feel about that.

That is insane! I couldn't imagine playing with an automated machine at a live table.

I haven't seen any in Reno yet. I wonder if they are going to put the machines in everywhere? I couldn't imagine casinos replacing all of the dealers and putting in computers.

It will probably happen as either a new casino opens, or an old one either opens a poker room for the first time, or decides to renvoate their poker room. They are supposed to be very expensive to purchase, so a lot of casinos are probably playing the waiting game to see how popular they are at other casinos.

It looks like a fancy gimmick, i couldn't see myself enjoying it, as the guy above said, its too much like online poker. I think its losing something from the game, if i was going to the effort of going to the casino, i'd want a real dealer and not predetermined hands.

Yeah, it spees up the game, but I also agree that I would rather have chips and a dealer and real cards. Does take something away from the game the more I think about it.
