I am currently playing in a SNG for play money, and there is a person in here simply trash talking for no apparent reason, the game isn't even for money. How does everyone deal with a person like this online? In real life? I don't want to get into it with him, so I ignore all the trash talkers, but he is simply trying to be annoying and crude and it's kinda working. Just wondering, how do you all handle it?

I would just continue to ignore him- if no one responds to him he will eventually go away.

LOL it's sort of funny when you think about it. I am a trash talker but normally only with friends, I don't do it online. But if you are beating him it might be fun the throw that in his face, might shut him up!

Let them keep talking and pay attention to what they are saying, they're giving their hand away.

I always just ignore those guys, sometimes it is hard, but like others have said, it makes winning against them that much sweeter and I have a hard time holding my tongue.

Don't let it get to you, often it's one way of someone trying to ruin your concentration.

I play, I go off in my own little world, and nothing much bothers me, except my kid needing me (but he never goes where I go to play poker.)

Smile at them when they get really rude, and since I'm a female, I flirt. Usually gets their goat right back.

LOL yeah but then you got to worry about him not drinking it in which case he gets meaner about the trash or drinking it and getting worse when it hits his system.

You can't squelch/mute him? Then I'd recommend just ignoring him.

I often trash talk with friends (it's part of the game for me), but never online.
