To be honest, I have no idea. I know that sounds bad. I think it is for a Church or something. I just go because its poker and its close to me. If my rakes go to a good cause, then that's just a bonus!

I'm with Jrod on the suited stuff. I really like a 9-10 suited, I feel like it gives you room to grow into a straight or a flush. Or any Ace suited. I always feel lucky when I hit those.

Yeah I am not sure I have a favorite hand. They have either screwed me or helped me at one point or another lol. I guess if I had to say KQ suted even though there are alot of hand that dominate that hand. It just has worked for me in the past.

Thanks

I think that starting hands depend on the level of the people you are playing with, pocket aces should be good to go if you play the hand right put, out the people with the 5 7 type hands that would catch you out later if you just played to the blind. After that your just riding on lady lucks back.

When the pro's are playing the betting is generally done by the flop. The normally play for pairs or two pair or even trips anything above that is a bonus, the only time you'll see a pro betting on a potential straight is if its an open straight and they got cards to play to.

actually my favorite poker hand is 23 suited. of course i would like to see a flop cheap with this hand or in the blinds. But if you can hit a good flop, you stand to make alot of money and your opponent will never see it coming.

I remember a article I read awhile ago about favorite hands. And other peoples favorite hand and the whole point of the article is that people lose more money in the long run playing there favorite hands or there friends favorite hands. I dont know if that is true, or not. Has anybody played there friends favorite hands? Also will you call a big raise preflop with it?

Thanks

I like J 9 suited because people never see it coming when that straight turns up on the board.
