Default Favorite player?

Anyone have pros they like to root for or root against at the WSOP, WPT, or other big events?

Daniel Negreanu and Chris "Jesus" Ferguson are probably my two favorite. I also like Howard Lederer and Phil Ivy.

I cannot stand Phil Helmouth or Mike the Mouth Mattesau.........

Daniel Negreanu is probably my favorite. I think it is funny that you can not stand Helmouth or Mattesau. They are completely in your face and very set in their ways and like to let you know that. Have you ever read Helmouth's book? It made me laugh incredibly hard.

I did not ready Helmouth's book. Perhaps I will check it out this fall (I am studying for the Bar Exam this summer, so not much free time for reading). Negreanu kicks ass though!

I would say that Chris "Jesus" Ferguson is probably my favorite. To quote The Big Lebowski "You don't mess with the jesus!"

Daniel Negreanu is cool, i like the way he calculates the hand, he always seems to do well and get up there.

Phil Ivy, always seems to be around and on the final table, but i haven't seen him close it yet, he always seems nervous too around the big guys that are more in your face

Well said! I love watching when the throws cards at high speeds and they slice through vegetables or whatever he throws them at.

I was always a fan of Chip Reese and Jonny Chan, but if I had to pick a no name that is a solid player, I would pick Greg Raymer guy is an all around great player.

Thanks

My friend claimed Johnny Chan sat down at his table at the Mirage while we were vacationing there.

My favorite player has to be Chris Moneymaker. Seems like his win in 2003 was right about the time people started really paying attention to poker.

I wouldnt say I am a huge fan of chris moneymaker. but the poor guy plays solid, but seems to get out outdrawn in huge situations where he has the guy dominated lol. but if you were gonna have any luck the WSOP would be a good time to have it.

Thanks
